Fila Unveils New Yoga Collection At Paragon NYC And Celebrates With Free Yoga
Fila's Yoga Brand Ambassador, Kristin McGee, led an hour long free yoga class last Wednesday night at Paragon Sports in New York City. Apparently it was quite an event with over 60 yoga enthusiasts participating in the class. Attendees received Fila goodies in addition to a great workout. MizzFIT guestblogger, Jo Anne Keck, was impressed by Fila's yoga collection and reports:
Paragon cleared out their street level back room for a large class to promote Fila's new yoga line. The promotional night included a free yoga class with instructor Kristin McGee, lots of socialization amongst young women and men, a few free gifts, a raffle and the opportunity to see Fila's new yoga line, which has some really great pieces! The event started with a room full of free yoga mats where you could pick your spot. Upon arrival, they gave you a bottle of MetroMint water and a band along with a free yoga mat. The class Kristin led was a class that people at any level of yoga could do, a few flows and a couple of great tips and new exercises from Kristin. At the end of the class they had a reception with fresh fruit, a raffle, gift bags, the chance to talk to Kristen and the chance to view Fila's new line. Overall it was a great event and I won a raffle and got one of Kristin's free Pilates DVDs, along with some ideas about what my next yoga clothes purchases are going to be.
Jo Anne's feedback had me itching for some Fila couture...so I headed over to Fila's NYC headquarters and rummaged through their racks (with permission, of course). Check out my favorite pieces below (Double Twist Back Racerback Tank, Wrap Cami Tank, Wrap Surplice Cami, Knotback Tank). Fila's yoga tops are feminine and look a lot like trendy tops sold at Intermix...except you can sweat in them!
My favorite yoga pant, the Cross Front Capri is low cut with a cross over design that flatters the waist and hips.
I stand by this last one called the Cami Cross Back Tank because A) I own it and love it, B) it's incredibly comfortable (doesn't pull on neck or shoulders as many fitted tanks tend to do) and C) there very well might be a miracle bra sewn inside of it because my boobs have never looked better! I've never worn a workout top with so much lift and support that wasn't uncomfortable. I highly recommend this one.
Fila is definitely staking out a nice spot on the fitness fashion map. Maybe I just overlooked this brand before but I have a feeling they're stepping up their game. Nice job, Fila!
