A day in the life of...ME!

Fitness

My full time job really does entail covering fitness fashion & trends.

In case you don't know my story or how I left a career that afforded me Helmut Lang moto-jackets, Jimmy Choo pumps and purses, and a walk-in closet to keep them all in, then you can quickly read about that HERE.

I feel blessed to say that I have the job and company of my dreams. I wouldn't trade it for anything else in the world (even if I can no longer afford the "extras"). Wanna know why? Well, because every day is an adventure.

Leave it to Bliss.com to outline a day in my "active" life where the line between work, passion and pasttime is most definitely blurred. Check it out and click the link below!

I love the "play by play" format of the interview. So fun to read about a day in your life! Ahh I can't wait until my next NYC trip. So bummed our schedules didn't match for this past trip, but it's something to look forward to :)

Hi Liz!!!!

You are the best and always such a cutie. I would love to see a "day in your life" because I can imagine it's beyond interesting. I'd also love to know what kinds of fashion you're wearing for your dance competitions. I'm actually going to go to Facebook right now and look at those pics from last weekend. You're a doll. Let me know when you're back in NYC, ok??

You are far too kind, thank you :) I seriously cannot wait to meet next time in NYC - it won't be as hectic of a trip next time around, I promise! Here's who designed my ballroom dress:

Hey Liz,

WOWZERS! I just checked out your designer's website. I love those dresses. They are beyond amazing! You and I are going to have to do a video together that's inspired by your amazing career in ballroom dancing. It really is so captivating and dreamlike what you do...

I am totally coming to your next competition when it's here in NYC!

You rock!

My dream job is doing what you do! Although, I sometimes get frustrated with my current standing point. I am 25 years old, managing a personal training center, teaching yoga part time and continuing my education. I have to remind my-self we all start somewhere and my current daily routine is giving me the skills that I will need for the future when i'm living my dream.

I would be living my dream more if I had the most delicious organic meals everyday, if my own work-out routine was scheduled just like my clients are, if i spent more time writing and using my love of the arts, if i were using photography and my creativity in general in combination with my love for fitness, fashion, and yoga.

That would be amazing!!!!!! I would love to do a video :)

Well, the next time you're in NYC, let's make it happen. BTW, where are you going to grad school???

xoxo,

Hi Michelle,

Hmmm, interesting. But could you really imagine giving up teaching your fitness classes? I don't teach classes but I bet it's wonderful. Perhaps you could somehow combine teaching and what you learn from working with your clients and see at the personal training center to create something incredible that's missing from the fitness world. Maybe it's a new workout, an approach to fitness or even an innovative fitness product... I'd start thinking about these kinds of things especially with all the exposure you have to great fitness resources. I'm sure you see stuff that works and doesn't work every day. Well, share that with us!!! Be a commentator...and most importantly, be yourself! I understand you want more balance...but I think you are on the right track and finding your path is actually the best part so ENJOY IT! Life only gets more hectic!

Your new friend,

very cool blog post! I have a potentially intrusive question, how do you make money off what you do? I'm sure the answer isn't simple, maybe advertising? (since you're an ad guru)I'm just really curious!

Anyways I feel like I have a few dream jobs of my own. I'm currently a personal trainer and yoga teacher which I completely love (it is a dream job to me already!) But I'd love to step it up a notch and become a celebrity trainer! I want to be recognized by the world as a fitness icon! I love keeping up my blogging on YogaEatRun.com and if I could blog full time that's what I'd do! (hence my question about how you make money!)

Anyways girl, I look up to you SO MUCH and I'd love to live in NYC like you do! If I could work with you I would! dream job alert! hehe

Hi Janae,

I know we’re friends on twitter…but I hadn’t spent much time on your website until today. I really love your site! I was really excited to read this page (http://yogaeatrun.com/home/category/little-dash-of-spark) and see all those yummy looking recipes which I now plan to try out myself. You are such a beautiful and adorable woman. You actually remind me a lot of me in terms of our vigor for life and workout and all things fitness. I’d love to meet you next time I’m in Utah!

Without getting too specific, I’m a on-air woman’s lifestyle expert and fitness consultant. I work with a range of clients and companies. I’m also a sportswear stylist and get work that way too. Advertising on my website helps too, but that part is miniscule actually. I built MizzFIT.com as a personal project, not a career. But MizzFIT LLC blossomed because of it! Blogging won’t pay the bills, but it can be the first step to something much greater for sure.

The fact that you have a few dream jobs is fantastic! I love hearing that. I mean, why limit yourself to just one? The advice I can give you about becoming a celeb trainer is NETWORKING. Don’t wait for this caliber of client to come to you. Go out and FIND THEM! Take advantage of celebrity-oriented events happening throughout Utah. Go to Sundance. Market yourself as what you want to be, and girl, it WILL HAPPEN.

I’m always here to answer your questions and help out in any way that I can. Feel free to email me directly HERE as well: http://mizzfit.com/contact

Thank you so much for commenting and for being open about your dreams. I love connecting with women like you and seeing how much the same we are :)

With a hug,

MizzFIT

Thanks for the reply! I think it's awesome you say I remind you of you, because I felt the same way when I first stumbled on your site a while back! hehe. I'd completely love to meet next time you're in Utah so let me know when you pass through!

I completely agree, blogging for a living, though it is a start, it's not very realistic or promising, so I think it's great to know that you've got so much more going for you besides blogging! What you do sounds totally fun & exciting!

Thanks a lot for the advice about networking, You're right I should go after it!! especially with Park City, Sundance and Salt Lake City all just 40 mins away from me!! Thanks so much for saying what you have, sometimes it just takes another person to help you realize what you can do.

xoxo!

MizzFIT July 23rd, 2012 7:18AM

Jenae,

It's destined to happen! We will meet someday soon! And I can't wait. When it comes to blogging, I think of it as a MEANS. And if you have a passion for it, girl, anything in the world is possible. You just have to send your cosmic "positive" vibes out to the universe and ASK FOR IT. And then you have to WORK IT. So get out there and find your celeb clients. I have a ton of friends in Salt Lake too that i should connect you with. And just remember, EVERYTHING you love is WORTH IT. When you leave this world, you can't take dollar bills. You can only take your happy soul with you. So make sure to ALWAYS nurture and invest in that.

Much love to you!

Every man should do the exercise. I am happy to know that you are very conscious about your fitness and fashion. I think all of the man needs exercise for his fitness. Thanks for your good thinking.

I will be at grad school at the same university that I just finished my undergraduate studies at (sorry for the poor grammar in that sentence, eek, haha). Sorry for this late reply as well! And yes, I am going to try to get back to NYC as soon as I can - hopefully over a break from classes. Keep in touch as always! xo
