Jada Pinkett Smith reveals more than just info on her sex life for Shape Magazine’s July cover issue. The pics of her are amazing and you can tell by her muscle tone that she’s hooked on fitness. The article on Jada includes an exercise breakdown from her favorite workout routine which focuses on arm strength. I tore these pages out and took them to the gym. My arms are a little sore but I LOVE the moves. It’s always great to try out new ways to workout your muscles and it will definitely keep you from getting bored in your routine. These exercises are guy friendly—just step up the weight. It’s nice to see someone on the cover of Shape Magazine that actually works out. Jade was a great choice for the cover. Keep it up, Shape. We need more *true* fitness role models.

I almost can’t believe it! FitMusic is a FREE online music source for fitness music. They have all kinds of workout playlists and you can search for music by fitness activity. Just download the music you like directly from the site OR subscribe to FitMusic on itunes and download for free from there. What a great idea! I absolutely love it. Why didn’t I think of this?????

Is your belly not feeling quite as tight as you’d like it to? Try changing the way you eat and how you respond to your body’s hunger signals. Even if you’re crunching at the gym, bad eating habits can lead to bloating. Just a few tips to get you started…

  • Don’t skip breakfast.
  • Eat breakfast soon after you wake up.
  • Try eating 5-6 smaller meals per day (“grazing”).
  • Avoid large meals, especially at dinner time.
  • Never go to bed on an empty stomach.
  • Curb emotional eating (this is hard).
  • Cut down on sodium rich foods.
  • Consume less alcohol (also hard but you can do it).
  • Avoid soft drinks.
  • Drink more water!!!!
