Cover-up with Metallics

Ditch the sequins because metallics are back and they're spring weather appropriate. I'm loving the sleeve pocket on the silver Urban Ripstop Jacket (Lauren by Ralph Lauren; $199 at Macy's). The adidas by Stella McCartney Run Image Jacket is killer and comes in blue and silver. It features a biker-style collar and zippers down the back for a custom fit.

Digging the adidas Y-3 Windbreaker below in regal orange...makes me want to drink OJ and go for a brisk run.

Now, don't be afraid...these wind-proof jackets are a breeze to wear. Casually throw one on with a gray tank (like this one), cropped black leggings (like these) and comfortable lightweight sneaks (like these) for an outfit that's ultra-chic and transitional. Every girl deserves to shine, so don't be shy and wear metallics like you mean it.

UPDATE: Adding another windbreaker to the lot. This Nike Split Windrunner Jacket ($100) wins the Cute & Creative Award. Check out the pronounced zipper detail on the front pockets. There's even a front-to-back zipper that lets you split the jacket in half to combine with another style or layer. The mint green color is nice and springy. Also comes in deep purple and black.
