How to Clean Out, Drink Up and Stay Active on a Juice Cleanse That’s Right For You
12 Jul 2011
My juicy video hits the web!
I've been overloaded and traveling, which explains why this video has found it's way online and to Facebook before making it's debut here. But better late than never! Please enjoy Gym 'N Juice, a collaboration with my friend, Holistic Health Coach Robyn Youkilis. It's 10 minutes of juice cleansing knowledge--everything you need to know before you dive in deep. We tried to answer all the important questions and clarify that there are different levels of "juicing"...and just because the co-worker on your left sips on Organic Avenue doesn't mean you're gonna dig it. You've got to find what works by thinking about what you like, not necessarily what you can tolerate. If you like it, you won't cheat!

Gym 'N Juice features my favorite juice cleanses and tells you how to effectively go on a cleanse while maintaining an exercise routine. Watch the video and then check out the juice cleanse companies that Robyn and I stalk when it's time to get our juice on.
- Elixir Juice Cleanse
- Liquiteria
- The Juice Press
- Organic Avenue
- BluePrintCleanse
- Cooler Cleanse
- Clean Slate Detox (Robyn's own detox plan)
Juice Paraphernalia:
Yup, we all deserve to drink...I mean...chew our juice in style. That's why I like to have a little fun with these 16oz reusable cups from Pier 1 Imports . They're funkier than aluminum bottles and they remind me of a backyard summer barbecue. The lid tightens to keep your drink from spilling as you tote it around like a trendy accessory.

Isn't the Sports Center @ Chelsea Piers divine?
It's such a treat on the weekends because you can lay out and work out in a gym that doesn't make you feel cooped up. Unless you're being held hostage at the Soho House pool at gunpoint, come on over! You don't need a full membership. A weekend membership entitles you to sun, sweat and sushi (in whatever order you prefer) on your favorite days off. For more information on the Sports Center's weekend membership CLICK HERE!

Very informative article!!! I really enjoyed it! I have been juicing for approximately 2 months now and I already feel so much better. I can feel and see the difference in my body. I am hoping to that in the next 2 months I will be partaking on a daily basis 90% raw foods & juices. Wish me luck!!!

Hey MIzzFIT…..
Let me tell you this…about 4 months ago I had insomnia so bad! I would lay in bed till 4am…I couldn’t fall asleep to save my life….tossed & turned. I came across an article that said a bad digestive system could be a cause of many sleepless nights and improper nutrition. And the article recommended juicing to start. So I said to myself….“Self…what do you have to lose.” I pulled out my infomercial juicer and started juicing. I used to juice back in the 70’s (my hippie days). And the first night….I SLEPT LIKE A BABY….and I have been doing it ever since. Fresh Fruit Smoothie’s in the morning and then I juice for lunch and dinner and then I eat very light around 7pm. Protein (boneless chix breast or sockeye salmon) and a fresh spring salad. So I think I’m on a good start! I’m 55 yrs old and I suffer from sleep apnea and a rare form of psoriasis and juicing has helped me feel human again!
