TeleYoga: private yoga for women who skype
2 Aug 2010
When I heard about a quirky yoga chick that was broadcasting yoga sessions to women via skype and video chat, I thought, I've gotta track her down and meet her. So I did! After just 1 hour with TeleYoga creator, Christine Miller, I felt like we were lifelong friends. I can totally understand why her clients can't get enough of her, especially when they're traveling, which is actually how it all began.
TeleYoga explained from the yogi's mouth:
Why it suits women on-the-go:
How it works:
- You make sure you're equipt with a computer webcam (very important).
- You schedule an online session with Christine through her website (and pay).
- You login to Skype (it's free).
- You call TeleYoga through Skype (or she can call you).
- You connect and begin your TeleYoga session!
A quickie on how to tone your arms:
TeleYoga's fitness couture favorites:

- ALO HOODIES Why? Because they're made from bamboo and the sleeves have thumb holes. Check out more Alo gear HERE.
- OMNITOM PRANA POWER 3/4 PANT & PRANA POWER TANK TOP Why? Because Omnitom is made with organic cotton, feels so good on my skin and there are little design nuances that make the clothes unique.
- NATORI SPORT BRA Why? Because it's the most awesome sports bra. Period.

Yoga is a fantastic mind-body workout and I definitely recommend it as a complement to strenuous workouts that you may already be doing. It helps stretch out your muscles, relieve tension and temporarily remove you from the chaos of your life (for at least an hour or so). You can definitely lose weight with an active yoga practice as long as your practicing consistently and working up a sweat. Since I don’t know enough about you and since I’m not a nutritionist, I can’t predict a weight loss period but I’m sure you could ask at your local gym or even consult a yoga instructor for better advice. My favorite yoga poses are wheel and tripod stand. They take some time to build up to since they’re advance moves but they’re great for stretching out your back and reversing your blood flow. I would definitely experiment with a few different types of yoga and see what appeals to you. Best of luck!

Hi,
Yoga helps in improved circulation which can lead to reduction in wrinkle formation and produce a natural face lift. You can achieve wrinkle free skin by practicing inverted postures in yoga, such as head and handstands. This practice increases circulation to your face and it brings required amounts of oxygen and nutrients to refresh and eliminates toxin causing substances.

This is a fascinating idea. I love having a personal trainer or personal yoga instructor in this case. Yes it’s good for travelling but I like it because I’m not one who wants to head to a gym or yoga class. I don’t have the space in my home for a yoga instructor to come to me. I tried a class once and I was intimidated by all of the ladies who already know yoga. This is perfect for beginners like me.

Hello LV Lawyer,
SO great that you see the benefit of this kind of yoga instruction. Plus, Christine is so much FUN! Seriously, she will make you fall in love with yoga because her aura is so warm and carefree. I highly recommend calling her or contacting her through her website and getting started ASAP. You’ll feel the benefits right away and start to see results after a few sessions. I couldn’t love a yoga instructor more than I love Christine. She’s a gem!
