C'mon! You deserve it. You've been working hard on that upper body! The single-strap workout tops above are brilliant and will definitely set you apart from everyone else at the gym, or in my case, at my 6am bootcamp class (sheesh!). Oscar Mimosa work out clothing was recently featured on Refinery29 and I have to agree that Mimosa designs are sleek and sexy but still very functional for sport:
Oscar Mimosa uses premium Italian eco-friendly fabrics specifically woven for sweating and intense body movement, while offering protection against UVA and UVB rays. (source: Refinery29)
UVA/UVB protection is HUGE that's why it's in bold type. If you're a fitness enthusiast who spends a lot of time in the sun, Oscar Mimosa designs are going to help protect your skin. Think about all those times you played beach volleyball and didn't re-apply sunscreen. If you're an active-wear designer or brand, please consider using this type of fabric technology in future collections. Fitness consumers who live for outdoor exercise will surely pay extra for work out clothes with built-in sunscreen.
Oscar Mimosa active-wear is designed in Australia by Sarah Harte who opts for vibrant colors and edgy cuts over tired prints. Sorry Lululemon, but I can spot your prints & patterns from across the gym, then over to my left on the treadmill and then on my right on the rowing machine.
I love that Oscar Mimosa tops and sport bras are easily layered for support. The concept lends itself to both small and large chested women who want a playful look that can get them through yoga class, lunch and maybe a few errands. I think the Demure Adrenaline range will do quite well (available for purchase at Equinox gym shops).
Check out and shop the Hot Neon Lights range HERE. These are my favorite looks--perfect for yoga, pilates and dance. The lace side paneling on the hot short is so feminine and chic! Let's just hope Sarah Harte makes leggings with lace side-paneling too (since I know many of you are averse to hot shorts...and believe me, I understand).
