I still owe you guys the full video from of our engagement. It's coming soon, I promise! What I can drop now as far as an update on “us” is that we took our first little getaway since committing to one another as fiancés.
Turning 43 isn’t as scary as having a birthday in a snowstorm, which is why I chose to head west to Scottsdale Arizona for my birthday in January. I really can’t remember having a birthday in New York when it didn’t snow, sleet or hail. Every January, I’m prepared for it. But this year played out differently, thank God! I heard wonderful things about Four Seasons Scottsdale so my little family and I left New York City in the icy dust to experience a short retreat in the desert.
By now you know that Frida, my 6 pound chihuahua, goes everywhere with me! Literally EVERYWHERE! We're going on two years of being inseparable and quite frankly I can't imagine going on vacation without her. So over the past (almost) 2 years, I've had to figure out trips that would also accommodate and most importantly welcome Frida.
Are you doing right by your canine bestie and making sure they see the Vet?
Listen, in NYC, a vist to the Vet is something I always dread because I know the bill will be no less than $450! I could feed and clothe SEVEN Frida's for a month (if not longer) for that price! It’s obviously beyond expensive here BUT I won’t skimp on Frida’s health…esp with her being a senior Chihuahua. She's 11 years young but in wonderful shape--and I'd like to keep it that way.
Meet Frida Chihualo :) She's my darling, 11 year-old brindle chihuahua. Her name is obviously inspired by Frida Kahlo, an artist I love because of her incredible story of enduring one challenge after another. My Frida is similarly a fighter and she brings so much beauty and color to the world, hence the name!
#FortunaForAll #CollectiveBias #Cbias Yes, I was at Grumpy Cat's birthday party. I know, I'm way more of a dog person BUT Grumpy Cat is 1) pretty darn cute and 2) really famous. So how could I turn down the opportunity to chill with her as she rings in her 6th? The party was a delight. We basically surrounded Grumpy, lovingly stared at her, took lots of pics and then ate all her cake. It was a lot of fun and I had my fortune told by a psychic who told me to be careful because I was likely to get pregnant. Hmmm, still no baby yet! Grumpy is a curmudgeon down to the bone. Btw, her real name is Tardar Sauce. Grumpy Cat is just her stage name. You won't get a smile out of her no matter how hard you try. I mean...she didn't even blow out the candles on her cake and refused to have a slice. At one point, she closed her eyes to spare herself from the sight of all of us. As a dog person, I pretty much expect all cats to act this way. They're just too good to...
