Revolve NYC was just voted Best Spin Studio of 2013 by New York Magazine and I know it has a lot to do with their music (and of course their amazing spin instructors!). I spoke to Christianne Phillips, the Senior Master Spin Instructor who is also a DJ, about music and the secret to Revolve's success. I asked her why she thinks more and more people are hearing and learning about new music in fitness classes. Christianne thinks that healthy minded people don't want to be up in a lounge, drunk and dancing their asses off at 2AM.

Here's a sweet story. A MizzFIT reader named Paula Strokoff tipped me off about Kristi Yamaguchi's new active wear collection called Tsu.ya. Paula was so excited about Tsu.ya that I asked her review it on MizzFIT.com, never expecting that she'd use fitness fashion or Kristi's DVD to overcome obstacles she was facing in her own life. I'm going to let her tell the story in her own words. But before I do, I just want to say that people who take the time to write handwritten notes must be saints. We often have to twist celebrities arms to get interviews and quotes on MizzFIT.com (ok, not really but getting ahold of them can be hard). Q.Where did the inspiration for your clothing line, Tsu.ya, come from? Does the name Tsu.ya have meaning?
A.
Inspiration came from the needs I saw in my own wardrobe. What I want to wear as a busy, active, on-the-go mom. I also wanted to start a lifestyle brand like that of Newman's Own--a philanthropic minded brand to support the work of my Always Dream Foundation (for early childhood literacy).

Tsu.ya is my middle name, also my Grandmother's name. It's a family name and it's literal translation is "shiny, luster".

Q.You always look so stylish - whether you are working out or hanging out! Can you share your go-to fit look?
A.
Well, with Tsu.ya it's easier for me to look stylish for my workouts! I love wearing pieces from the BLING group, like the Bling Fashion Top, Skirt Legging and Jacket. These looks got a lot of inspiration from my skating days.
