Are You a Triathlete or Cycling Fashionista? Get the Scoop on MooMotion Tri-Wear!

- This is a guest post by Michelle Thomas -

Hi! I'm Michelle Thomas, mother of a 13 year old energetic son, Tennyson, and partner at Origin Agency.

15 years ago, I lost 30+ lbs. Now at 43 I'm in the best shape of my life! I'm active every day. I bike 6 miles to and from work, rock climb and practice yoga. I race cyclocross in the fall, and do sprint triathlons throughout the year.

MizzFIT, who is my friend and workout buddy, was an incredible inspiration to me and encouraged me to run the New York Half Marathon last May. Fashion is also one of my passions, so I was super excited when MizzFIT asked me to review MooMotion's tri apparel and give my honest opinion. As a designer, I'm really impressed by the unique details in the design and high quality fabrics that are necessary in my multi-sport world.

I was thrilled with how the MooMotion pieces looked on me, and the way they emphasize my (minimal) curves. Even lean girls want curves!!! The Stamina Sleeveless Tri Top has a built-in bra that is comfortable and allows me to breathe.

It also has accessible pockets for my phone, snacks, and money for a post-run coffee.

MooMotion's Stamina Tri Shorts have the perfect amount of padding for swimming, biking, then running. The size I'm wearing is XS and the top is a tiny bit loose but keep in mind that I'm 5'0 and weigh 96 lbs. So for most people the sizing is very true.

There are only a few designer brands out there that I like to wear for cycling and running so it was nice to find something new and a designer (Melissa Moo) that stands apart from the crowd.

I ride a Specialized Crux cyclocross bike. For off-road, I ride knobby, cyclocross tires and I change to smooth road tires for the spring and summer when I do triathlons. I swear by the new adidas Energy Boost Running Shoes for the running portion of my triathlons. They have lots of arch support and extra cushion, plus, they're super cute! I absolutely love Swiftwick compression socks--they don't show in my shoes and never bunch up.

In case you're wondering how a cycling fashionista fuels up before a ride, I always eat Oikosyogurt Greek yogurt. I bring healthy, protein rich snacks with me like Detour Bars in caramel peanut and a banana to keep me energized. The best reward for me after an intense ride is drinking a Codeblue recovery drink and stopping at my favorite coffee shop Kaldi's Coffee in St. Louis for a latte.

So that's how I ride in style. HOW DO YOU DO IT?

Let me and our ever-growing posse of cycling fashionistas know in the comments section below! Thx!
