Having a bad day? Things just not going your way? Tell me about it! The past week of my life has been a Groundhog Day of mishaps. I missed an incredibly important meeting last Thursday, then lost my phone and keys (which were eventually retrieved) and then yesterday somone important that I was supposed to interview for my Mizzfit YouTube channel cancelled at the last minute (just as my makeup artist and videographer were arriving to set up). Ughhhhhh!
I blame no one but myself and the universe for these things. Because sometimes things just don't work out...and the worst thing you could do is get upset or blame someone else for the mishap. It's also bad to beat yourself up over an event that cannot be changed. All you can do is learn from it, focus on what's ahead and realize that it's not the end of the world.
With that said, when I was asked to be a part of Lucy's #CHILDSPOSE campaign, I was like HELL YES! For me, it was a nice way to find humor in all the things that go wrong in my daily life and work. And the idea of going into a mental/physical position that calms you is very cool.

The funny thing about this video is that I'm a germaphobe who takes 2-3 showers a day because I'm petrified of dirt, dust and having sweat on me for too long post-workout. I know...it's nothing that would ever kill me...but I'm just a super clean individual who's on the brink of OCD. I didn't tell Lucy's production team about this (we, germaphobes like to keep a low profile), but inside I was losing my mind because we had to shoot the drop to the ground part various times! It's not like I haven't gotten dirty before...
...but let me paint a picture of what happens inside my head: red lights flashing, crazy sirens going off and complete mayhem. When I got home after the shoot that day, I child's posed in the shower :)
