Active Summer Skincare that’s gym bag (and purse!) friendly

I’m a year-round skincare fanatic, but when summer hits I completely re-evaluate what I carry around with me. My products have to be effective, easy to apply, fast working and light (on my shoulder, not just my face!). Most importantly they have to feel good on and revitalize my skin, whether I’m running to a workout or freshening up right after one. These 8 skincare products all under $25 cater to the fitness-loving woman on-the-go. My hunch is that’s YOU! Let me guess, you know how to break a sweat but you also look forward to showing off how well you clean up and glow like a pro. If I guessed right, these products are made for you! Find out what I'm spritzing, pumping and spraying RIGHT HERE on Lucy's blog. I'm one of their contributors. Check it out because I go into detail about why these skincare products should be in your summer gym bag STAT! Thanks for hopping over there. Here's the link again on Lucy's Blog :)

5 Fitness Myths Busted

Did you fall for an April Fool's Day prank this year? I know how that goes. I'm the most gullible person in the world, making me an easy target year after year. But when it comes to fitness--my area of expertise--there's no fooling me or anyone else for that matter. I want you to be informed on all the possibilities of fitness instead of believing bogus stories that discourage you. I picked 5 of my favorite Fitness Myths to debunk on Lucy Activewear's new blog: Yoga doesn't burn calories. It’s better to stretch before your workout than after. Treadmills are better for your feet than running outside. You need to have long legs to be a good runner. You can work out at your desk.   Haven't you always wanted to know the truth??? GET IT HERE! Leave a comment below telling me which fitness myth gets under your skin and why it's soooo untrue. Even better, comment below AND tweet it out using the hashtag #lucyletsgo so that Lucy and...

Waitlisted to Workout? My Solution!

It’s a sweat and be seen dynamic in the fitness world these days. People head to boutique studios in droves instead of local membership-style gyms. Stylized express-fitness classes are where it's at, and everybody wants a spot! Even my hunky Australian officemate who is the epitome of a guy's guy goes to SoulCycle and has a ClassPass acount. When he's off to a class, I get serious FOMO (fear of missing out). It's like he's going to a party I haven't been invited to...so strange. People don’t just show up to class…they show up wearing designer sportswear and the latest in tracking accessories. As a fitness trend expert, I’m thrilled to see this movement thrive, but I go crazy when I can’t sign up for a class because it's completely SOLD OUT! I'm given the option to add my name to the waitlist...that's already 17 people long. Nope. Not gonna do it. I shouldn't have to wait in a virtual line to work out. Sooooo I teamed up with Lucy Activewear to go BACK TO BASICS...

I'm In Lucy's New Campaign Called Childspose

Having a bad day? Things just not going your way? Tell me about it! The past week of my life has been a Groundhog Day of mishaps. I missed an incredibly important meeting last Thursday, then lost my phone and keys (which were eventually retrieved) and then yesterday somone important that I was supposed to interview for my Mizzfit YouTube channel cancelled at the last minute (just as my makeup artist and videographer were arriving to set up). Ughhhhhh! I blame no one but myself and the universe for these things. Because sometimes things just don't work out...and the worst thing you could do is get upset or blame someone else for the mishap. It's also bad to beat yourself up over an event that cannot be changed. All you can do is learn from it, focus on what's ahead and realize that it's not the end of the world. With that said, when I was asked to be a part of Lucy's #CHILDSPOSE campaign, I was like HELL YES! For me, it was a nice way to find humor in all the things that go...

Fitness Retailers Innovating To Meet Customer Needs

As a Mizzfit.com reader, you already know that the activewear market is booming. And all the competition amongst retailers means that companies have to innovative to thrive.  Translation? Today’s active gear is more stylish and inventive than ever before. These picks represent just how today’s companies are stepping up their games and creating one-of-a-kind items every fit gal will fall in love with. Lululemon’s Patience Tank Lululemon is a brand that many fit fashionistas love. The company is known for its high-quality and ultra-flattering clothing that’s beautiful. So it should come as no surprise that this tank dazzles. I loved how lululemon combined two other styles—the elegant back of the Free To Be bra with the deep V of the Deep Breath tank—to come up with the Patience Tank. The straps hold it in place while you move and the V-cut gives this top an extra sexy touch. The back of the tank is made out of mesh so it breathes well. It’s also...
