Fitness Apparel with Built-in Weight. Yay or Nay?

Take weight off by adding it on?

W8FIT is a new brand of women's activewear. The product's custom design has pockets which hold half pound or quarter pound weights which you can add to increase resistance during your workout.

The founder/designer, Maya Kaminsky, says she lives in her workout clothes and wanted to create something different that would help women lose weight and stay fit whether they are training at the gym or just running around town.

The weights are the size of a credit card. Supposedly they're bend-able too.

The product isn't available for purchase until early June. In the meantime, W8FIT is being sold on presale via Kickstarter --> click here to check it out

Question is...would you wear it?

Personally, I'm just not sure the extra weight added to W8FIT pockets is all that necessary to dramatically change the effectiveness of your workout or weight-loss. I have no doubt it will slightly enhance the challenge of...

Bravely Sweat Outside with Stacy Who Won't Go Inside No Matter What

Stacy Who Won't Go Inside

People kept telling me about Stacy's Bootcamp in NYC's Central Park, so I tracked the infamous Stacy Berman down. What I became was her next victim. I'm not going to lie to you. I've never been so close to collapsing. But if you want to lose weight and gain muscle REALLY FAST, Stacy's your girl. I call her Stacy Who Won't Go Inside.

Stacy Berman Is An Anomaly

She's smiley, giggly, and sweet as can be...until you show up to her office where her expectations must always be met. And where's that? Well frankly, it depends on what exactly Stacy has in mind for her bootcamp that day. But one thing's for sure, she clocks in every morning to Central Park (“the only park in Manhattan where you can enter and almost forget you are in the city")...it's just a matter of what conference room she decides to use.

This can be frustrating if you're the type that doesn't like surprises. As long as you meet at 86th street and Central...

Pole Dancing for Fitness! 6 Tips to Style Up 2 Shape Up for Your Sexiest Workout

Why did I make a Pole Dancing video? Isn't that for strippers?

I made this video to show you how fun and empowering pole dancing is as a workout. And no, these poles aren't found at a strip joint or "men's club". They're found in pole dancing fitness studios like Body & Pole NYC that welcome any woman or man to try it out. It's not easy but it's become one of my favorite ways to stay in shape. Follow my 6 fitness fashion tips in the video to hit the pole in style and swing your way to fit.

Will Brooklyn-Born-Babe Natasha Hastings Sprint to Gold at the 2012 Olympics?

She better! Because I'm rooting for this pretty lady who they call the 400M Diva. Natasha took the gold medal home in 2008 for the 4x400 relay and she's been training her heart out in Texas to do it again in London. I was dying to interview her because she's known for her fabulous style on the track.

Read my Celebrity Sweat interview with 2012 Olympic hopeful Natasha Hastings and follow her training tips. Plus find out exactly what was going through her mind while posing nude for ESPN's Body Issue.

Natasha Hastings - Olympian Athlete

Q.I hear you're called the 400M Diva. Is the 400M your signature race and where you hope to be at the 2012 Games?
A.
My specialty is the 400, but I would like to be known as a versatile sprinter. I'd like to be competitive in the 200 as well as a great contributor for the relay.

Q.I'm cutting to the chase, what was it like being in ESPN's Body Issue?
A.
It was a great experience and something that I am grateful for. The staff was phenomenal. I think my pictures turned out great, and it opened a lot of opportunities for me.

Q.What was the most uncomfortable part of that shoot?
A.
Being in a room with new people naked, but they were very understanding and did their best to make me as comfortable as possible.

Q.The best part?
A.
The best part was just getting through it. I felt if I could do this I could do anything!

Q.There's no way you're ever insecure about your body! Or are you?
A.
I am, and I think it's totally normal. Everyone has their days where they just feel...

Turtles Work Out Too

What can I say? I'm a fan of Turtlecalls.com because the site brings smiles and laughter to many, especially if you're on the receiving end of a Turtlecall. I asked the little prankster turtle for an interview and to my surprise he granted me one...and told me all about his workout routine!

If you need a laugh or someone else does, definitely go to Turtlecalls and get acquainted with my favorite hard-shelled friend.

Thanks for watching!
