So it's Friday and I'm at the office. I thought I'd share with you what I've got on my desk today: the March issue of People Style Watch Magazine and my new favorite toy, a Ball Wide Mouth Mason Jar with a fruit infuser lid!
I typically only share my press features on my press page, but today I'm expecially THANKFUL because this issue of People Style Watch marks the 12th time I've been quoted in their magazine. I'm feeling really grateful for 2.5 years of working with them to report on the hottest fitness trends happening nation-wide. I also wanted to take a moment to tell all of you that I'm always here to answer your questions about health & wellness so feel free to contact me. My mission has always been to get you moving! It's why I love my job :)
I know in the winter it can be really hard, if not impossible, to go outside for a run. God knows I won't do it in these temperatures that have been hitting NYC. I hope my latest quote in PSW Mag will inspire you to find an indoor running class, especially if you miss running outdoors but can't stand the boredom of running on a treadmill alone.
There's also a new app I just discovered called Persii that will give you workouts to do while you're on the treadmill to keep you engaged and stimulated. I'm giving it a shot tonight as soon as I hit the gym!
Now, about this mason jar I can't get enough of...I've had it at work all week and quite frankly, I'm obsessed. I bring a different kind of fruit to the office every day and cut it up (if needed) to put it into the infuser lid. Today it was an orange...
...and yesterday it was raspberries! I simply add cold water to the jar and wait about 20 minutes until I've got water that tastes like I'm on vacation at a spa (you know how they're always serving cucumber infused waters at posh resorts?).
I know these jars are eco-friendly and foodies love them, but I like 'em for another self-serving reason. The version I have with the infuser sippy lid kind of reminds me of a high-end sport bottle. I never thought I'd dig drinking out of a heavy glass jar, but it's actually perfect for my office on my desk because it's so heavy and big that it's not easily knocked over and doesn't need to be refilled throughout the day. Want one? Get the infuser lid HERE!
You can make tea in the jar, too, and infuse it with mint or other herbs. The jars and infuser lids are sold separately. I found these cute, blue-tinted Ball Jars on Amazon for you. If you already own a Ball Mason Jar you're all set to go because the infusers are made to fit every size.
If you're playing host for a wellness themed gathering (or just a bunch of stylish ladies) and you're looking for a take-home goody, these will do the trick ESPECIALLY if you fill each infuser with a mix of pomegranate seeds and basil. This is my favorite combo because aesthetically it's a visual treat but it also makes the water taste so delicious.
Anyway, just wanted to share something special on my desk with you today. What's on YOUR desk?
