There was literally no element of surprise. Like, ZERO...ZILCH...NADA! After being with my man on and off for over 8 years, I was ready to know exactly what was in the cards for us. So we carefully planned the whole thing as our first premarital “project” together.

Somehow someway, my partner and I wallpapered a corner wall in my new home without murdering each other. I’m not sure if this is a testament to our relationship or to how easy it is apply adhesive wallpaper, but either way, we did it in under 3 hours and it looks great! I kept seeing wallpaper styles popping up as a comeback trend in modern home décor so we pulled the trigger with a playful neutral-colored print figuring that if we didn’t like it, we’d just peel it right off. What happened is WE LOVED IT! 

By now you know that Frida, my 6 pound chihuahua, goes everywhere with me! Literally EVERYWHERE! We're going on two years of being inseparable and quite frankly I can't imagine going on vacation without her. So over the past (almost) 2 years, I've had to figure out trips that would also accommodate and most importantly welcome Frida.

After years of being a loyal reader, I was thrilled to give Apartment Therapy a home tour. Are you kidding me? Hello Dog Mamas and Papas!

Are you doing right by your canine bestie and making sure they see the Vet?

Listen, in NYC, a vist to the Vet is something I always dread because I know the bill will be no less than $450! I could feed and clothe SEVEN Frida's for a month (if not longer) for that price! It’s obviously beyond expensive here BUT I won’t skimp on Frida’s health…esp with her being a senior Chihuahua. She's 11 years young but in wonderful shape--and I'd like to keep it that way.

Meet Frida Chihualo :) She's my darling, 11 year-old brindle chihuahua. Her name is obviously inspired by Frida Kahlo, an artist I love because of her incredible story of enduring one challenge after another. My Frida is similarly a fighter and she brings so much beauty and color to the world, hence the name!
