As I write this, I'm recovering from the WORST food poisoning of my life, which makes the practice of eating CAREFULLY so much more relevant to me. The model lifestyle is now more accessible to common folk thanks to Amazon Fashion and ModelFIT. Amazon Fashion is essentially a department within the online shopping world of Amazon. They've recently amped up their athletic offerings, especially on designer sportswear. So now you can dress like a model...and even work out like one behind this door, at ModelFIT. 212 Bowery (2nd floor), formerly the studio of model photographer Terry Richardson, is now home to ModelFIT.  It's the new boutique fitness studio in New York City that has everyone talking, where Taylor Swift and models Kate Upton and Karlie Kloss drop in to break a sweat. My Favorite Winter Workout is Flex Pilates

I’m all about outdoor workouts but lately it’s been TOO COLD. Check out my favorite winter workout that lets you skip the cold and will instantly heat up your muscles. It’s Pilates but a different kind of Pilates approach than you’re used to seeing at the gym. The workout is called Flex Pilates and it's taught at Flex Studios in New York City. Flex Pilates uses the Pilates reformer to combine classic Pilates and strength training for 55 minutes that don’t go by too quickly (sorry, clock watchers). Let’s just say you feel every minute of this workout because the motions are often pace-­controlled and require you to activate your core while pulling it up and in. Some moves happen slowly and some quick depending on how you’re using the reformer. To show you several of my favorite moves, I asked Jenn Seracuse, director and instructor at Flex Studios, to guide me through a session. Glamming It Up for Nelly's Black & White Ball

This lucky girl was invited to attend rapper Nelly's annual Black & White Ball on December 21st in my hometown of St. Louis, Missouri. Gotta say, I was really excited. I've always loved Nelly's music but I was truly thrilled at the idea of going to a glam event that would surely bring good vibes to a recently damaged city and it's people following the events of Ferguson. I've touched on the topic a little HERE. I needed a dress and I had no time to shop for one! A stylist-blogger friend of mine by the name of NYCPretty (who knows more about fashion than any person I know) mentioned Rent The Runway to me. I'd heard of it but the idea of renting a dress was really foreign to me. Then again, the idea of spending hours--maybe even days--shopping for the perfect dress was something I just couldn't do ESPECIALLY during the height of Christmas-time shopping. Nope.
