I know, I know…Omicron has taken over New York City. But I’m still kickin’ and being extremely careful wherever I go without spiraling into panic mode. I do believe as long as you operate and travel with utmost safety (ahem, mask on!) that it’s OK to go out and enjoy the wonders of New York during the holidays. Here are my recommendations for must-see attractions, observatories and fun pop-ups to visit as you round out your year and begin to say goodbye to 2021.
Somehow someway, my partner and I wallpapered a corner wall in my new home without murdering each other. I’m not sure if this is a testament to our relationship or to how easy it is apply adhesive wallpaper, but either way, we did it in under 3 hours and it looks great! I kept seeing wallpaper styles popping up as a comeback trend in modern home décor so we pulled the trigger with a playful neutral-colored print figuring that if we didn’t like it, we’d just peel it right off. What happened is WE LOVED IT!
I love dressing up for Halloween but when Frida (my tiny brindle chihuahua) came into my life, everything changed because now group costumes were on the table. We don’t just dress up…we go all out! Last year we won my apartment building’s Halloween contest and couldn’t walk down the street without people jumping into pics with us. It’s become so popular that DIY lamination videos top Tiktok and Instagram as some of the most watched tutorials. The result is fuller, fluffier and longer looking brows, and on most people the results lasts a few months. As trendy as permed brows are, let’s figure this out first: Is this the right treatment for you and your precious brow hairs?
Post-workout or in-between workouts RECOVERY might not be for everyone but trust me, you'll come back stronger. I put RECOVERY in caps because it's so important to rest and rebuild your body after really intense sweat sessions. You break down to build up, but you also need to heal. Rest days and sufficient sleep will help you bounce back. Take this advice from someone (me) who didn't sleep enough for YEARS! I still don't sleep enough but I get at the very least 6-7 hours a night. Anything less and I'm literally dead.
