I'm a "yes" girl, and when opportunities come knocking, I always answer the door. But let me tell you, it's not easy chasing your dreams, and sometimes I'm so exhausted I just want to slam the door. A wise professor once told me in college, "You can sleep when you're dead." And this is what I constantly replay to myself when I'm feeling overwhelmed. I'm sharing this with you because oftentimes people think what I do is super glamorous. The truth is that it's never without stress or lack of sleep.

So, this is catch up blog to tell you what's been going on with me. Can you guess that I've been working a lot? It's been insane. The travel has worn me down a lot but I have to say, I couldn't be more passionate at the moment (and maybe that's the problem, lol!) I'm working with a line of skincare that is a dream-come-true level project. It's a new line, which I've really made my own, allowing me creative say in everything we do.

I recently spent the day at NKD NYC for a very different kind of spa day. NKD NYC is a Midtown NY based beauty & wellness oasis. It's small, private and very chic. They offer a range of treatments. As you can see from the video above, I had a cryo facial (my first!) along with a few other treatments that were entirely new to me. It's rare when I haven't heard of something because I've literally tried it ALL! But this place definitely introduced me to a few new things!

When you arrive to NKD NYC, it's a quiet entrance because they cater to top tier clientele and want your experience to be comfortable and un-exposed. There is always a nurse and practioner on staff.

Upon my arrival, I was led to a room with an Infrared LED Light Bed where I got to chill for 20 minutes. I'm a big believer in LED Light Therapy but I had never been in a bed like this before with both red and green LED lights. It takes about 10 minutes, but you will...

Call me crazy but I tried an ultrasound energy treatment to get rid of my tech neck! It's called Ultherapy (also known as Ulthera) and it's a non-invasive anti-aging treatment that "potentially" helps the skin to tighten, firm up, lift up, and even become smoother in texture. I use the word potentially in quotation marks because this is how Ultherapy's own marketing materials position their claims. And I will admit, right off the bat, that my results were not dramatic...but I did see a change.

These days we're used to seeing such dramatic results that it can be shocking when the results are more subtle. It's also fair to say that Ultherapy results vary by person. For the most part, people who try it experience a tightening of the skin and less sagging.

#FortunaForAll #CollectiveBias #Cbias Yes, I was at Grumpy Cat's birthday party. I know, I'm way more of a dog person BUT Grumpy Cat is 1) pretty darn cute and 2) really famous. So how could I turn down the opportunity to chill with her as she rings in her 6th? The party was a delight. We basically surrounded Grumpy, lovingly stared at her, took lots of pics and then ate all her cake. It was a lot of fun and I had my fortune told by a psychic who told me to be careful because I was likely to get pregnant. Hmmm, still no baby yet! Grumpy is a curmudgeon down to the bone. Btw, her real name is Tardar Sauce. Grumpy Cat is just her stage name. You won't get a smile out of her no matter how hard you try. I mean...she didn't even blow out the candles on her cake and refused to have a slice. At one point, she closed her eyes to spare herself from the sight of all of us. I'm really honored to have worked on this campaign because I literally grew up on Walgreens! In Missouri, it was our main pharmacy and quick-shop that was on every corner and STILL IS! When I moved to New York, there were so many other phamarcies up here but I made sure to exclusively shop at Walgreens because it reminded me of home. Your roots are your roots, right?

Have you tried any of Walgreen's NICE products? We featured a lot of them in this campaign and I was lucky enough to bring a bunch home after the shoot! Wondering if you have any favorites.
