I Tried Ultherapy for Tech Neck

Call me crazy but I tried an ultrasound energy treatment to get rid of my tech neck! It's called Ultherapy (also known as Ulthera) and it's a non-invasive anti-aging treatment that "potentially" helps the skin to tighten, firm up, lift up, and even become smoother in texture. I use the word potentially in quotation marks because this is how Ultherapy's own marketing materials position their claims. And I will admit, right off the bat, that my results were not dramatic...but I did see a change.

These days we're used to seeing such dramatic results that it can be shocking when the results are more subtle. It's also fair to say that Ultherapy results vary by person. For the most part, people who try it experience a tightening of the skin and less sagging.

You can see my results for yourself and tell me what you think. Watch my video below documenting my treatment and my results at three and six months out.

Apple Cider Vinegar - New Safety Concerns!

I was invited on Dr. Oz's show to be part of a discussion on the growing safety concerns over Apple Cider Vinegar. Before I get in too deep in this blog, I just want to say that I'm NOT an apple cider vinegar expert whatsoever. I do happen, though, to be an apple cider vinegar drinker...but I only consume it minimally. For years, I've been putting about a shot glass amount of ACV in my water bottles. I don't love the taste (who does?) and too much of it makes me gag so I've always kept my intake very small.

The issues that Dr. Oz's investigative show chose to tackle are related to the ACV craze and a ton of companies trying to get in on the financial gain of selling ACV products to health fanatics and consumers jumping on the bandwagon. Here are the main concerns:

Not all Apple Cider Vinegar products are made the same.

There are ACV branded supplements being sold that don't even have ACV in them!

Other ACV product are being sold that have toxic levels of...

New Career Move: Home Shopping!

One thing is certain, I feel like I don't blog enough! So many bloggers say that...I know...as it can be really hard to keep up. Especially when it comes to pouring your heart out (with the right words typed in a quiet place) as I'm about to do right now...

So here's the deal, things in my life over the past 10 years have changed so much! My business (Mizzfit LLC) has evolved in ways I never expected and much of the work I do are projects that have nothing to do with blogging. I will never abandon it though because it's how I got my start as an entrepreneur...and really, it's how the concept of "Mizzfit" began. On top of that, I just really like to write. I can't imagine not having a space to do that.

So, without digressing more, I have entered the world of home shopping. I must admit this has always been a dream of mine. For many of you, home shopping is a joke and it's something that probably never appealed to you. For others, well, it's how they shop! To be perfectly...

My Unicorn Horn Necklace and its Symbolism

This rose gold unicorn horn pendant necklace is so special to me. I'm often seen wearing it because it represents a lot of what I believe in as far as self-confidence, growth and our potential to be better humans every day of our lives. Yes, the unicorn is a fascinating mythical creature that captivates our imaginations but it's also symbolism for feminine energy and innocense.

When we're little, we're told that unicorns are hard to find. They remain in hiding so no one can capture them. They're often spotted in forests and on green, rolling hills but they only reveal themselves to special people. They're impossible to catch because they don't want to be your pet. A unicorn is one-of-a-kind, loyal when it falls in love and known for inspiring wonder in the eyes of it's beholder. All of that is true...but it's merely symbolism for a woman who values herself, knows her worth and can envision her future independent of a...

I Was At Grumpy Cat's Birthday!

#FortunaForAll #CollectiveBias #Cbias Yes, I was at Grumpy Cat's birthday party. I know, I'm way more of a dog person BUT Grumpy Cat is 1) pretty darn cute and 2) really famous. So how could I turn down the opportunity to chill with her as she rings in her 6th? The party was a delight. We basically surrounded Grumpy, lovingly stared at her, took lots of pics and then ate all her cake. It was a lot of fun and I had my fortune told by a psychic who told me to be careful because I was likely to get pregnant. Hmmm, still no baby yet! Grumpy is a curmudgeon down to the bone. Btw, her real name is Tardar Sauce. Grumpy Cat is just her stage name. You won't get a smile out of her no matter how hard you try. I mean...she didn't even blow out the candles on her cake and refused to have a slice. At one point, she closed her eyes to spare herself from the sight of all of us. As a dog person, I pretty much expect all cats to act this way. They're just too good to...

How I Deal with Nor'easters and Stress

New York City is gearing up for its 3rd Nor'easter. Each time it hits, it's the day I'm supposed to travel for work. I've already had to reschedule two TV appearances this year on account of the first Nor'easter. But hey, weather is unpredictable and when it hits, it usually hits hard. There's nothing you can do about it. Unless of course, you're ME...you'll find something to do like STRESS! I was born a worry wort. It's a shame because stress is so bad for your health.

I should really take my own advice and just NOT stress out but that's hard for me to do. Over the years, I've tried a lot of supplements to help calm me down. There are some that work really well for me that contain Magnesium powder that you can mix with water. I like them fine but I'm not always in the mood to down a full glass of flavored magnesium water. Lately I've been turning to vitamins, which in my opinion are much easier to take. I get nutrients to help me calm down and feel more balanced.

At first,...
