I'm really quite pleased with this thoughtful interview hosted by Sarah Funky for GoDaddy's "School of Hustle". I might as well start posting updates on my workout routine, since these covid-19 times have dramatically limited all of our fitness options nation-wide. YES, I'm still working out every day and NO, it wasn't easy to restructure my workout routine. Over the past 5 months, I've been able to find outdoor classes, workout videos, trainers, a running team and so on, that compliment my schedule. But I'm going to be honest, the stuff that isn't online is few and far between because people are trying to social distance and exercise safely.
I decided to have a go at making paella—a healthier paella—using RightRicewhich has less sodium and 40% less net carbs than regular white rice. It’s made 90% from vegetables so you’re getting more protein and fiber from the veggies when you choose it over regular rice.
I don’t do this often. I’m very picky about everything I share because I take my health + yours very seriously. Do I take supplements? Yes, A LOT of them but you won’t typically find me pushing them on others because I’ve felt for so long that supplements should be a personal exploration of what’s right for your body. But this time is a little different. I’m blown away by Magnesium Breakthrough from BiOptimizers.
I never had “baby fever” but in my late 30’s I knew with certainty that I wanted to be a mom. (Fyi, I'm 41 now.) For me, that was all I needed to know to make it a reality but there were some issues I still had to work through, and I was far from ready to plunge into baby making.
What a story this is! Trust me, I never imagined I would fly across the country and come back so changed. I fly to LA a lot these days, mostly for TV appearances or influencer related events, so when I decided to partner with Pure Farmland and join their influencer retreat, I had somewhat of an idea in my head about how it would go. Part of the retreat experience included going to Food Expo West, which was supposed to happen in Anaheim. But literally 24 hours before I landed in California, it was cancelled due to the outbreak of coronavirus (a.k.a. COVID-19) in the US.
